Summer Artiness
Welcome to Summer my friends, we are somehow in June! The school’s here are starting to finish for Summer Break, people have travel plans at last and yes our planet keeps on circling the sun and this month marks Summer Solstice. We’ve got some exciting things coming up over the next 2 weeks and beyond! Check the featured events below, we have a few places left for each.
Katie’s Contemplations
I am a great believer in the ways that the activities of our cosmos impact our own selves. We are energetic beings made of the very same life materials as our planet ( carbon, hydrogen, oxygen) and there are obvious and subtle ways in which we respond to the seasons and timings of the year.
The Summer Solstice represents the beginning of summer. People may experience mood elevation at this time, even here in HK due to the additional sunlight which helps to regulate our internal clock, (known as circadian rhythm) because our eyes’ light receptors have an easier time recognizing when it’s time to wake up and fall asleep. And guess what the birds start to sing much much earlier did you notice that!
