Discover a world of creativity, storytelling and meaning in this 67-piece Oracle card deck. A bespoke creation by Art Teacher and Art Therapist, Katie Flowers, The Storyteller Oracle is both a work of art and a guide to making sense of the world through symbolism, metaphor and stories.

The Storyteller Oracle deck features certain archetypal characters and symbols which represent universal patterns and images that are part of the collective unconscious. Using these images the cards are designed to offer opportunities for insight, inspiration, divination, creative starters for stories, poetry writing and art making. People will each engage with the cards from their own unique vantage point, coloured by the context of their own experiences and perspectives.  The cards offer a collection of images and symbols as a doorway to the subconscious.

I created many of the cards with a specific archetype in mind, but many cards made themselves, as the archetypal image that was calling to be expressed, emerged from the fragments of the composition. The set is imbued with my own intuitive art making process and was created for me, for you and for my own Art Therapy Clients. My hope is that these will provide metaphoric communication that speaks to the reader as the images provide the symbols and metaphors to help people access abstract concepts which in turn provide insight and inspiration on the journey.

The Oracle Card Weekend Retreat

“I initially signed up for the Oracle Card Weekend last fall because I wanted a weekend away. I didn't even know what Oracle Cards were but I didn't care, I was getting away and that was what mattered ! The magic of these cards has given me new personal insights, pushed my creative limits, and helped to foster new connections.

One of the activities that help guide the weekend work is taking an archetypes test and finding out about yourself. I emerged as "The Fool", and to be honest it really bothered me. So, I got curious and did a bit of digging into the Fool and what this could mean about me. It ended up being such an interesting way of thinking about myself and the cards I wanted to create. I tried to think about the light and dark sides of the Fool, how I relate to them and how I could turn them into Oracle Cards. 

This deep personal reflective work is never easy, but I wouldn't trade these experiences for anything!!
